Real estate related issues characterize most of the practice of
Newman & Summers, P.C., although its practice includes many areas of
a general civil practice. The firm’s practice areas can be generally
described as Real Estate, Residential and Commercial Construction,
General Civil Litigation, Creditor’s Rights, Business and Corporate,
Estate and Probate and Mediation. The firm office is in Fort Worth,
Texas (Tarrant County) and we handle legal matters in Tarrant County
and most surrounding cities and counties.
Having represented construction contractors, suppliers,
owners, architects, and engineers for over 30 years, Frank M.
Newman, Jr. has a significant practice related to residence and
construction disputes. These include perfecting, foreclosing and
defending against mechanic’s liens, pursuit of and defense of claims
and involvement in most other disputes that can arise in connection
with a construction project. Kristian M. Summers, likewise,
represents a number of construction contractors and suppliers and is
involved in virtually all matters related to construction.
Our real estate practice, a significant area of
practice for the firm, includes representation of buyers and sellers
in real estate transactions, title curative issues arising in
closings, boundary line disputes, residential and commercial lease
negotiation, landlord-tenant disputes (tenant evictions), and,
generally all other matters related to the acquisition and ownership
of real estate.
Our practice also includes representation in probate
matters, commercial collections, contract disputes, and
representation in various commercial transactions such as purchasing
and selling businesses, forming corporations, limited partnerships,
limited liability companies and other transactional matters.
Mr. Newman is a certified mediator by virtue of his
training with the American Arbitration Association. |
